Just a girl, becoming
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
There are seasons when even the light feels heavy.
Ever since declaring myself a ray of fucking sunshine, I’ve had days where the glow softened into something foggy. Not the kind of fog that confuses you, but the kind that coaxes you into stillness. The kind that whispers, “Stay here. Breathe. Don’t rush the becoming.”
And I listened.
I sat with heartbreaks I thought I had already filed away. I reached for softness in places that couldn’t hold me. I questioned whether my shine was slipping… or if I was simply letting myself rest in the shadows for a moment.
(That’s the curse and blessing of a shy rockstar, glowing quietly, even when dimmed.)
The Weight of Hope
Storms came.
Not the loud, dramatic kind, emotional ones. The ones that overturn the furniture of your spirit and force you to see what you’ve been stepping around.
My relationship cracked under the pressure of truths we didn’t say out loud soon enough.
And still, I gripped hope like the last shot of reposado at a party I wasn’t sure I should’ve attended. I tried to juggle my feelings, my boundaries, and my right to a little fury.
In the process, I learned something:
Hope is heavy when you’re the only one holding it.
And if you are the only shy rockstar in the room? Demand more. Let softness be a standard, not a sacrifice.
Choosing Both Light and Boundaries
This era is sensual boundaries.
It’s lush self-love.
It’s emotional clarity delivered to myself in letters I should’ve written years ago.
I can be rebuilding and radiant.
Soft and sovereign.
Visible and private.
This entry is for the ones who show up tender and trembling but never shrinking. For the women learning that being a ray of sunshine isn’t about pretending everything is okay, it’s about knowing who you’re becoming and choosing her especially when the sky is overcast.
So if you’re in a storm too, fellow shy rockstar, know this:
You don’t have to be perfect.
Just present.
Just honest.
Just here.
The next chapter can still be a concert—loud in energy, intimate in truth—and most importantly, yours.
